We know that fresh fruit and veg are the building blocks of a healthy household. But with the rising cost of living, finding affordable fresh produce is becoming more challenging. That's why were excited to be partnering with "Foodtogether".

Foodtogether is a social enterprise that has Pop-ups in multiple towns and cities across Aotearoa. Foodtogether partners with dozens of different community organisations to help them feed their communities in an affordable, sustainable and accessible way.

So how Does it actually work?

Foodtogether connects growers (who are paid a fair price), with customers (who are seeking affordable, quality, fresh produce) by utilising volunteers from community organisations like Grow Forrest Hill who are willing to do the mahi on behalf of their community. 

Each week a truck delivers a pallet of fresh fruit and veg straight from the markets to Grow Forrest Hill. Your bag, which will have been pre-ordered on the Foodtogether website, will be packed by our team of volunteers and will be waiting for you to pick up from the Grow Kitchen between the hours of 2-6pm on a Wednesday. 

What do I get for my dosh?

Grow Produce Bags cost $15 and consist of at least 8 different varieties of in-season fruit and vegetables. You get amazing value for your money so it’s well worth it. Check out the video here for an idea of what's in a bag.

Your $15 goes straight to Food Together and the growers that supplied the produce.

Everyone! If you want great quality produce at a great price, our Grow Produce Bags are for you! 

How do I order?

‘Food Together’ manage all the logistics, including payments. You can order your Grow Produce Bag at their website here. There are two ways you can order.

  • Order a Produce Bag each week by midday Tuesday

  • Sign up to a weekly subscription

Where do I pick it up?

We are launching on Wednesday May 15th. Our team of volunteers will be packing the goodies at midday, and you can pick yours up any time between 2.30pm - 6pm.

Can I help / Get Involved?

YES! We think this is such a cool way to do something good for our community and we hope you might too! Were looking for a team of volunteers who are willing to help out every now and then to: unload crates, pack bags, or man the pick-up shop. We'll be looking for 5 or so volunteers each week, organised via a Whatsapp group. If this sounds like something you're interested in helping us with, join the Whatsapp group here.
